THE REAL THRILL

Nothing gives us more of a thrill than taking cool photos so we were delighted when we were given the chance to get creative last week.

A couple of weeks ago we shared some photos from our lifestyle project for Southend United’s matchday magazine.

Following on from that we’ve been in the studio with Blues defender Bilel Mohsni for a very special promotional campaign.

Southend United are holding a Thriller event against Rotherham United on Saturday, 30 October and we were asked to recreate a scene from pop icon Michael Jackson’s Thriller video.

We were happy with the results, which have been used in a poster (download) and online to promoted the Halloween themed event and the Club's two adults and two children for £20 ticket offer.

ICE, ICE BABY

Pixel8 Photos was at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on Saturday night as NHL Ice Hockey side the Boston Bruins beat a Belfast Giants select 5-1 in an entertaining friendly clash.

The Bruins are one of the most famous hockey teams in the NHL and one of the league's original six teams, officially forming back in 1924.

Boston have won five Stanley Cups in their team history and last season, the Bruins made it to the semi-finals of the Stanley Cup play-offs, eventually bowing out to the Philadelphia Flyers in the final match of their seven-game series.

The Giants select side took the lead as Nottingham Panthers player Jade Galbraith notched the opening goal in the 36th minute.

However stung by the goal, Tyler Seguin, Zdeno Chara and Brad Marchand replied immediately with three goals.

Milan Lucic and Seguin added final-period goals for the Bruins.
