SHOULD OF GONE TO SPECSAVERS

Just a flying update of some recent national coverage, this time in today's Mirror Mania football supplement.

Today's exposure is from Bristol Rovers 4-3 win against Southend United at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was a nail bitting contest and Anthony Grant's last minute own goal eventually saw struggling Southend on the end of a devastating defeat.

The above photo though is of Southend striker Scott Spencer shortly after making it 2-0 to the Shrimpers. Apparently his celebration is in reference to a new Specsavers advert in which their is an actor that has more than a passing resemblance to Spencer - or so I am told.

For good measure The Mirror also decided to use a small insert of Bristol Rovers penalty king Jeff Hughes from the same game.
