2010 keeps whizzing by as we bring down the curtain on March with a round-up of coverage.
The month started in knock-out fashion as we photographed our first ever boxing match at Westcliff Boxing Club's Friday Night 2 event. Two of Pixel8 Photos friends were taking part in the amateur matches and we took great delight in capturing them taking a right hook in the gob.
A late finish was soon followed by an early start as we made the long journey up to Hartlepool for Southend United's 3-0 defeat against the Monkeyhangers. Not a lot to report from that game apart from a little bit of usage in The Times on the following Monday.
On the same day Jon Wagstaff our resident Southend Rugby snapper was at their game against Canterbury at Warners Bridge.
Essex Pirates picked up an enthralling 82-80 last gasp win against Plymouth Raiders as Taner Adu hit a winner on the buzzer to record a rare victory.
The final two weeks of the month was mainly dominated by football coverage with Southend United's 2-2 draw with Carlisle, their 3-0 win against Walsall and a 4-3 defeat at Bristol Rovers.
The seven goal thriller at the Memorial Stadium also saw some exposure with two photos from the game forming The Mirror's coverage last Monday.
We finished the month off in style at Wembley Stadium for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final between Carlisle United and Southampton. Funnily it was the third time that month we'd covered Carlisle and we were also their official photographers for their big day out. Unfortunately they were on the end of a pretty comprehensive 4-1 defeat but that didn't stop their fans from having a good day out.
